As part of THE NFB IN LIBRARIES annual programming, the Vaughan Public Library is presenting the following series to highlight Black History Month:

This new five-part NFB docu-series is an electrifying celebration of the Jamaican icons that brought reggae to Toronto, including Nana McLean, Leroy Sibbles, Johnny Osbourne, Roy & Yvonne and Jerry Brown.

Sounds & Pressure: Reggae in a Foreign Land follows the journeys of these icons. Through rare archives and infectious beats, this captivating five-part anthology series takes you from Kingston to Kensington Market to see and hear how reggae made roots in Canada against all odds.
