Join The National Film Board of Canada and The Rooms for an inspiring afternoon exploring the power of mentorship, creativity, and artistic legacy through film, conversation, and community, in presence of NFB filmmakers and producers.

The program features screenings of two acclaimed NFB films: Imprint (2025, 6 min), a poetic animated tribute by Newfoundland artist and filmmaker Duncan Major to his mentor, Tara Bryan, and The Muse (2025, 17 min), filmmaker Wanda Nolan’s touching documentary about an unexpected cross-generational creative friendship.

Following the screenings, Duncan Major will share an artist talk into the making of Imprint and the role mentorship has played in his artistic journey, followed by a fireside chat and audience Q&A with Duncan Major, Wanda Nolan, Liz Cowie (Producer, NFB Eastern Documentary Unit) and Maral Mohammadian (Producer, English Animation Unit)
