A group of women break cultural taboos surrounding female sexuality, support each other in overcoming the trauma of female genital mutilation, and take back ownership of their bodies.

Post-screening discussion with Regina Tamés, Deputy Director of the Women’s Rights Division at Human Rights Watch. Panelists include Habibata Ouarme, an FGM survivor and the film’s co-director; Jim Donovan, co-director; and Dr. Angela Deane, OBGYN and advocate for those affected by FGM/C.
