As part of THE NFB IN LIBRARIES programming, the Newcastle Public Library in collation with the Carrefour Beausoleil Library are offering the following free screening for Canada Book Week:

The Geographies of DAR (Monique LeBlanc |2023 | 75 min) is a captivating film that explores the life and literary works of renowned Canadian author David Adams Richards | In English with French subtitles

David Adams Richards will be present to both screenings for a Q&A after the film!

Through stunning visuals, insightful interviews and excerpts from his writings, the film uncovers the profound connection between Richards’ personal experiences and Eastern Canada’s Miramichi, the region that shaped his storytelling.
