In honour of the National Day of Action for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls and 2SLGBTQ+ People, the Remai Modern presents this free screening of

FINDING DAWN – directed by Christine Welsh (2006, 73 minutes)

Acclaimed Métis filmmaker Christine Welsh brings us a compelling documentary that puts a human face on a national tragedy – the epidemic of missing or murdered Indigenous women in Canada. The film takes a journey into the heart of Indigenous women’s experience, from Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside, down the Highway of Tears in northern BC, and on to Saskatoon, where the murders and disappearances of these women remain unsolved.

This screening is free and open to the public; all guests must check-in at the front desk to receive an admission token.
