The NFB and the Sommets du cinéma d’animation invite you to an Artist Talk by Martine Frossard
Multidisciplinary artist Martine Frossard works in illustration, animation and participatory installation. Martine was born in Strasbourg, France, and in 2005 she moved to Montreal, where she became a self-taught animator. Her first short, Thirty Masks (2015), was chosen as a Vimeo Staff Pick. Her work has since been shown across Canada as well as in the United States and Europe.
During this one-hour talk, Martine will be discussing the creative process behind her most recent animated short, Hypersensitive (2025), produced by the National Film Board of Canada. In a society that seeks to filter emotions and erase differences, Hypersensitive chronicles a young girl’s turbulent, surrealistic journey as she struggles to understand her singular take on the world.
*This talk will be given in French.
