DESCRIPTION:The Falstaff Family Centre (FFC) in collaboration with Kaswent
 ha Two Row Now\, will be hosting two screenings of WaaPaKe (Tomorrow) in h
 onour of The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on September 30th. 
 This and their other events are intended to help foster learning\, awarene
 ss\, inclusivity\, as well as an understanding of the impact of colonialis
 m\, including the legacy of residential schools. \nWaaPake (Tomorrow) - d
 irected by Jules Arita Koostachin (2023\, 80 min) - TO BE SCREENED AT 2:30
  and 7:00 pm\n\nIn Swampy Cree\, the word WaaPaKe means tomorrow—and as 
 Attawapiskat filmmaker Jules Koostachin says in her deeply personal docume
 ntary\, “Tomorrow means hope. It means that we have a future.”\n\nA po
 werful film about intergenerational trauma and healing\, examined through 
 an Indigenous lens\, WaaPaKe reveals the reality of living in the shadow 
 of residential school experiences and explores ways in which we can change
  the narrative to one that offers hope and a view to the future. The film 
 creates a space for reflection and discussion so that the descendants of r
 esidential school survivors may respond to this shared burden of history a
 nd confront the cyclical nature of intergenerational trauma in their own l
