DESCRIPTION:As part of THE NFB IN LIBRARIES annual programming\, the VPL Ce
 ntral Library is offering a free screening of the following film :\n\nUnar
 chived (Hayley Gray\, Elad Tzadok | 2022 | 1 h 24 m)\n\n“The past is
  never dead. It’s not even past.” – William Faulkner\n\nIn the featu
 re documentary Unarchived\, co-directors Hayley Gray and Elad Tzadok high
 light community archives across British Columbia to reveal some of what ha
 s been erased from the official record. Local knowledge keepers are hand-f
 ashioning a more inclusive history through family photos\, newspaper artic
 les and scratchy old VHS tapes. These different collections tell stories o
 f people building connection through work\, play\, protest\, family and tr
 adition.\n\nThrough a collage of personal interviews\, archival footage an
 d deeply rooted memories\, the past\, present and future come together\, 
 fighting for a space where everyone is seen and everyone belongs. History
