DESCRIPTION:The Indigenous Action Committee will screen the following film 
 as part of its gathering and vigil to honour Missing and Murdered Indigeno
 us Women and Girls (MMIWG):\n\nthis river (Erika MacPherson &amp\; Kathe
 rena Vermette | 2016 | 19 min)\n\nThis short documentary offers an Indig
 enous perspective on the devastating experience of searching for a loved o
 ne who has disappeared. Volunteer activist Kyle Kematch and award-winning 
 writer Katherena Vermette have both survived this heartbreak and share the
 ir histories with each other and the audience. While their stories are dif
 ferent\, they both exemplify the beauty\, grace\, resilience\, and activis
 m born out of the need to do something.\n\n-----\n\n\nAttendees are invite
 d to wear red to commemorate the women and girls who are still missing.\n\
