DESCRIPTION:High Park Movies with a View is a free outdoor screening series
  hosted by The Beltline Neighbourhoods Association on a rooftop public par
 k and event space. Movies are projected onto a 30-ft inflatable screen wit
 h a state of the art 4k projector and dance club-worthy sound system. With
  their large astro-turf seating area they have a bring your own chair vibe
  and sell popcorn and pop at all events. \n\nSIKSIKAKOWAN: THE BLACKFOOT

 IN PERSON**\n\nIn Siksikakowan: The Blackfoot Man\, filmmaker Sinakson Tr
 evor Solway crafts a deeply personal and visually stunning exploration of 
 Indigenous masculinity through the voices and lived experiences of Blackfo
 ot men. Set within the historic Blackfoot Confederacy\, the film moves bet
 ween moments of tenderness\, resilience\, humour and vulnerability\, revea
 ling the complex identities men navigate within family\, culture\, languag
 e and community. Through poetic imagery and intimate storytelling\, Siksik
 akowan challenges colonial stereotypes and offers a rare insider perspect
 ive on what it means to be an Iindigenous man today. Rooted in the landsca
 pes and spirit of the Prairies\, the film celebrates connection\, kinship 
 and cultural continuity while opening space for reflection on masculinity\
 , belonging and healing in a modern world.\n\npreceded by\n\nThe Ballad of
  Crowfoot - directed by Willie Dunn (1968\, 10 min)\n\nOften referred to a
 s Canada’s first music video\, The Ballad of Crowfoot was directed by W
 illie Dunn\, a Mi’kmaq/Scottish folk singer and activist who was part of
  the historic Indian Film Crew\, the first all-Indigenous production unit 
 at the NFB. The film is a powerful look at colonial betrayals\, told throu
 gh a striking montage of archival images and a ballad composed by Dunn him
 self about the legendary 19th-century Siksika (Blackfoot) chief who negoti
 ated Treaty 7 on behalf of the Blackfoot Confederacy. The IFC’s inaugura
 l release\, Crowfoot was the first Indigenous-directed film to be made a
