DESCRIPTION:As part of THE NFB IN LIBRARIES programming\, the Toronto Refer
 ence Library  will present the last three episodes of Maisonneuve\, event
  from the Business\, Science and Technology series Floor .\nMaisonneuve | 
 Jean-Martin Gagnon | 2023 | First 3 episodes × 30 min | In French with 
 English subtitles\nIn 2015 and 2016\, Montreal’s Collège de Maisonneuve
  found itself at the centre of media attention on several occasions\, than
 ks to multiple attempts by young people to leave for jihad in Syria and Ir
 aq\, as well as a number of incidents and fights prematurely attributed to
  the radicalization of certain students. In response\, the CEGEP decided t
 o make the notion of living together in harmony a special pedagogical proj
 ect. It hired “hall workers” and encouraged intercultural meetings\, d
 iscussion forums\, intergenerational debates and other projects\, hoping t
 hat this knowledge sharing about the different cultures represented at the
  school would take place in a spirit of goodwill. The series is based on t
 he points of view of seven students recorded in 2018 and in the fall of 20
 21. We see them at a turning point in the construction of their identity\,
  and we discover their vision of the world\, their values and their frustr
 ations with adulthood\, the job market and social pressure.  \n\nMaisonn
