 d during Canadian Finals Rodeo Week:\n\nJOHN WARE RECLAIMED - directed by
  Cheryl Foggo (2020\, 72 minutes)\n\nJohn Ware Reclaimed follows filmmaker
  Cheryl Foggo on her quest to re-examine the mythology surrounding John Wa
 re\, the Black cowboy who settled in Alberta before the turn of the 20th c
 entury and helped build Alberta's ranching industry. Today\, his name is o
 n a ridge\, a creek and a school\, but most Albertans couldn't tell you wh
 o he was. Foggo’s research uncovers who this iconic figure might have be
 en\, and what his legacy means in terms of anti-Black racism\, both past a
 nd present.\n\nPlease note: This film contains explicit language. Viewer d
