 stival with the filmmaker in attendance!\n\nFilmmaker Holly Andersen of Ma
 kkovik\, Nunatsiavut\, always knew that the house she lives in carries wit
 hin its frame the echoes of the forced displacement of northern Labrador I
 nuit. In Hebron Relocation\, Andersen explores what makes a place a home a
 s she speaks with friends and family about how the relocation impacted gen
 erations of Labrador Inuit.\n\nAndersen’s house was one of many homes ac
 ross Labrador hastily built for incoming northern Inuit relocatees. In 195
 9\, residents of the community of Hebron were told that\, without question
 \, they would be divided up and relocated to more southerly communities ac
 ross Labrador. Most families were not prepared for such a drastic change a
 nd left everything they knew behind.\n\nWeaving together intimate stories 
 from her community with rare footage that gives us a glimpse of community 
 life during this upheaval\, Andersen provides a heartfelt look at a diffic
 ult past that has changed the lives of Labrador Inuit forever.\n\nHebron R
