 ocumentary introduces us to thousands of Indigenous Canadians who enlisted
  and fought alongside their countrymen and women during World War II\, eve
 n though they could not be conscripted. Ironically\, while they fought for
  the freedom of others\, they were being denied equality in their own coun
 try and returned home to find their land seized. Loretta Todd's poignant f
 ilm offers forth the testimony of those who were there\, and how they mana
 ged to heal.\n\nThis event is part of a project with the Canadian Commissi
 on for UNESCO\, "Let's Talk about Reconciliation" in partnership with the 
 the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation (NCTR)\, the National Fil
 m Board of Canada (NFB)\, the Indigenous Matters Committee of the Canadian
  Federation of Library Associations (CFLA)\, Library and Archives Canada (
