DESCRIPTION:The NFB\, in partnership with the Sommets du cinéma d’animat
 ion\, is pleased to invite you to an artist’s talk with filmmaker Lori M
 alépart-Traversy.\n\nAfter her smash-hit student short Le clitoris\, the 
 filmmaker is back in a big way with a five-part series of animated documen
 tary shorts entitled Magical Caresses. The series was broadly adapted from
  intimate accounts published in the Caresses magiques books designed and m
 anaged by Sarah Gagnon-Piché and Sara Hébert. A skillful blend of humour
  and confession\, these four-minute shorts offer a variety of female persp
 ectives\, taking a healthy and candid approach to demystifying masturbatio
 n. Using the tremendous creative freedom afforded by animation\, Malépart
 -Traversy has crafted a bold and insightful original series about solitary
  sexuality.\n\nDuring the event\, she will discuss her artistic journey\, 
 her creative process\, the complexities of creating during a pandemic\, he
 r documentary approach and her willingness to examine taboos.\n\nFREE ADMI
