DESCRIPTION:As part of its Art from the Archives programming\, Library and 
 Archives Canada will host the following workshop in English featuring NFB 
 films:\nFine Feathers (Evelyn Lambart | 1968 | 5 mins)\nIn this short cut-
 out animation by Evelyn Lambart\, two duelling birds get the urge to chang
 e their plumage. A blue jay wants to be decked out in the green of cedar\,
  and a loon dons the burnished red of oak leaves\, but neither bird forese
 es the consequences of vanity. A strong gust of wind teaches both birds th
 at their natural\, well-anchored feathers provided better protection than 
 their costumes.\nThe Town Mouse and the Country Mouse (Evelyn Lambart | 19
 80 | 5 mins)\n\n\n\nIn this animated short\, Evelyn Lambart uses her well-
 known style of animation – paper figures and brightly colored background
 s – to revisit Aesop’s tale of 2 mice with vastly different lifestyles
 . Ultimately\, the film suggests it is far better to live simply and in pe
 ace than to live in luxury amidst danger.\n\n\n\n—–\n\nEach workshop b
 egins with a short presentation of works and archives\, followed by a crea
 tive activity facilitated by a local artist. All equipment is provided. Be
