DESCRIPTION:We’re pleased to invite you to an Artist’s Talk featuring f
 ilmmaker Alex Boya.\nBorn in Bulgaria\, Boya is a Montreal-based animator 
 and filmmaker known for his surreal\, hand-drawn storytelling. A former pa
 rticipant in the 10th edition of the Hothouse mentorship program\, he cont
 inued to develop his singular style with the short film Turbine (2018).\n\
 nIn his most recent project\, Bread Will Walk\, Boya reprises his explorat
 ion of dystopian absurdity\, crafting worlds where the grotesque and poeti
 c intersect\, and questioning the boundaries between human and object—an
 d the logic that binds them.\n\nDuring this presentation\, Alex will discu
 ss the “baking-of” his latest—and most delicious—short film. The f
 ilmmaker will reveal some of the most unique and surprising aspects of the
  creative and technological recipe behind Bread Will Walk\, which had its 
 world premiere in the Directors’ Fortnight program in Cannes.\n\nAs spac
